Saturday Crafternoon – Stencil Art

Stencil Art  –  Our final Crafternoon of the year.
Using stencils taken directly from “Stencils and Stencil Materials” (Sherwin-Williams Co., 1910), visitors can combine patterns to make unique designs. There’s also an option to create your own stencil.
Stencil work was taught in early Canadian education as a technical art and was used to help students practice pattern-making. Stencils were also a fun craft for kids at home, as they could even be used to decorate everyday household objects.
We’ll be providing paper and paint, but if you’d like to bring your own cans, pots or boxes from home to stencil you are more than welcome to do so!
Our Saturday Crafternoons are always drop-in and free of charge. We hope to see you there!
